The Land Trust has been using this mild winter to work on stewardship projects, including one at our new Willow Springs Preserve.
We recently removed barbed wire fencing with volunteers from COIC (Central Oregon Intergovernmental Council) to help make the Preserve more wildlife friendly.
The COIC Work-Education program enables students to become part of a work crew, learn more about the natural environment, and work on community service projects. A big thank you to our crew of students who not only pulled barbed wire, but also helped haul it up some steep slopes!
Thank you!
