At Ochoco Preserve, new native vegetation was added to the restoration area from 2022. Volunteers helped add nearly 600 plants, while work crews planted another 18,000.

At Indian Ford Meadow Preserve, several volunteer work parties planted 1,200 native grasses to a meadow area. These plants will hopefully outcompete some invasive weeds in the area and increase the plant diversity.

Meanwhile, native plant restoration continued at Camp Polk Meadow Preserve this year, including additional plantings of native vegetation. Nearly 1,000 plants were added by volunteers and 2,400 were added by work crews.

As part of the large-scale restoration work at Rimrock Ranch, around 40,000 new native bunchgrasses, flowers, trees, and shrubs were added along Whychus Creek.

We look forward to seeing these new plant communities grow, provide food and cover for wildlife, and make our lands stronger as the climate continues to change.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to help with the plantings! It truly takes our full community working together to complete projects like these!
