The Land Trust was pleased to host an event in July at Priday Ranch in conjunction with our local partners from Oregon Humanities, Vámonos Outside, and Latino Community Association.
The group came together to collaborate on a program called Interpretando Nuestro Territorio/Interpreting our Land. Attendees gathered at Priday Ranch to enjoy a guided hike led by Land Trust staff member Gabriel Juarez, and then a facilitated conversation in Spanish about connection to the land.
"I was so humbled and grateful to be a part of this, and it was great to share Priday Ranch with everyone. I really enjoyed being able to hold a space for people to speak freely and comfortably in Spanish, especially in the context of our relationship to the land," said Gabriel.
Huge thanks to Oregon Humanities, Vámonos Outside, and Latino Community Association for all of the time and energy they put into making this event possible!
