You can also check out the list of general volunteer categories below, and if you find a project you'd like to help with, please let us know.
Volunteering with the Land Trust
Community Science
Collect data and help with specific research projects! This includes bird, butterfly, plant, and wildlife surveys and can be great for folks interested in getting out on their own or who have specific skills and knowledge around research or surveys. Learn more about our bird survey program.
Stewardship
Help with plantings, fence pulls, trail clean-ups and maintenance, weed pulls, and all the other things we need to do to care for our protected lands. This is great for folks who want to get outside and get their hands dirty! Often these activities are in a group setting and, depending on the activity, are family friendly!
Office Support
Pitch in with data entry, mailings, and other office projects! This is great for folks who aren't able to make it out to our protected lands, but want to further our mission. Many of these projects can even be done from the comfort of your own home.
Event Support
Get involved with Land Trust events, including set-up, staffing info tables, check-in, and more. This is a great option for folks who want to meet other people and talk about conservation!
Volunteer Naturalists
Lead or help with guided Walks + Hikes at Land Trust protected lands. This is a great option for folks who want to dive deep into the natural history of Central Oregon and share it with others!
Volunteer Ambassadors
Share the beauty of Land Trust protected lands through photography, art, and/or inspire others to connect with conservation online or in your community. This is a great option for amazing artists and connectors in our community.
Ready to volunteer or have another skill you want to share? Fill out our volunteer application to take the first step toward lasting impacts and deep connections with our protected lands. Our lands, waters, and wildlife thank you!
