Willow Grab + Stab
Join the Land Trust for a spring work party to help plant willow stems at Ochoco Preserve! The Land Trust recently completed the second phase of a major creek restoration project at Ochoco Preserve. Planting willows helps build healthy habitat for fish and wildlife. Grab willows from our collection and then plant them by stabbing them into the ground along the banks of the creek. Get your hands dirty and have fun while making a difference in Central Oregon.
Rating: Work party with moderate physical activity that includes planting in uneven ground.
What to bring: Work gloves (if you have them), snacks/lunch, water, and waterproof boots (planting area may be wet and muddy). Dress for the weather.
