Our annual Metolius Preserve Tree Hunt is coming up on Saturday, December 7, 2024 and we need lots of volunteers on hand to make it happen!

We are looking for volunteers to help during the Tree Hunt for one of two time slots: 10am-12pm or 12-2pm. Volunteers are needed to:

• Direct traffic and parking: 4-5 volunteers needed per time slot.
• Staff check-in and help monitor hot drinks: 1-2 volunteers needed per time slot.
• Help with wreath making: 2-3 volunteers needed per time slot.
• Tree Hunt prep: Help prep supplies in Bend the week before the Tree Hunt; 1-2 volunteers needed. Tasks include cutting flagging tape and wrapping wreath wire.

Please note: The Tree Hunt is a fun, festive outdoor event! Volunteers must travel to the Metolius Preserve and arrive 15-30 minutes early for their shift as needed. You will be outside in potentially cold or wet weather and will navigate uneven, potentially snowy, terrain. Please plan on being on your feet throughout your shift.
